College towns and food trucks just seem like the perfect pairing to me so I was very excited when Denton made the decision to allow food trucks to operate in the city limits, outside of the UNT campus. Since late September, The Pickled Carrot has been rolling around Denton serving Vietnamese sandwiches. Yesterday, I ventured to Denton to try the banh mi.
U.S. Food Trucks, an affiliate of U.S. Restaurant Properties that specializes in food truck ownership services, is hosting their first annual state-wide TX Food Truck Fest on Friday May 11th and Saturday, May 12th. For the first time, 30 Food trucks from all over Texas will come together in this two day event to benefit the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. It will be held in the South lot of Valley View Center in North Dallas between Preston Road and Montfort Drive off of the I-635W service road.
Saturday April 28, from 3:00 – 7:00pm, Downtown Frisco, TX brings ten gourmet food trucks and live music from the Frisco School of Rock.
Bring the family, your lawn chairs and be ready for fun. Free admission at The Gazebo, on Fourth Street, between Main and Elm.
Trucks serving include: Nammi Truck, Eat Jo Dawgs, Cajun Tailgators, So-Cal Tacos, Rockstar Bakeshop, The Butcher’s Son, Cafe Con Leche Dallas, Ssahm Korean BBQ, Easy Sliders and Lee’s Grilled Cheese. (more…)

It is a day for celebration indeed as we usher in National Grilled Cheese Day! If you’ve been watching the show, you’ll know we haven’t been shy about sharing our love for this ooey, gooey meal. Our very first episode even featured The Grilled Cheese Truck in LA (more on that later …).
