It’s that time of year again when Dine Out Vancouver takes over the city’s restaurants and Street Food City returns to the Vancouver Art Gallery. Now in its fourth year, Street Food City has expanded to become a week-long event with more than 25 participating food trucks, 15 of which are on site every day from 11:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. on Monday to Thursday, and 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Friday and the Weekend.
For the third year in a row, Tourism Vancouver’s Dine Out Vancouver festival set up shop at the Vancouver Art Gallery and presented Street Food City III. This food truck fest ran from Tuesday through Sunday and featured a great lineup of of food trucks and carts including Eat St. alumni like the Juice Truck, Roaming Dragon and Vij’s Railway Express.
It’s early January and many of us are trying hard not to break our ambitious dietary resolutions. Luckily you can still enjoy great street food AND maintain a healthy diet thanks to Eat Chicken Wraps. This great little food cart is hard to miss with the giant chickens wrapped on the cart. Being located right by the Vancouver Art Gallery doesn’t hurt either.
Eat Chicken Wraps has been open just over a year and are one of the few food carts in the city that are open seven days a week, year round. They also stay open late till 9:00 or 10:00 p.m. daily. As if that weren’t enticing enough, Eat Chicken Wraps uses Halal Chicken that is organic and free range and de-boned by hand daily. They then roast the chicken on a vertical roaster, resulting in beautifully charred, moist meat.
