Cleveland Fried Bologna Sandwich

In Cleveland, the Nosh Box serves homemade favourites, such as the Double Wide Grilled Mac n’ Cheese Sandwich and a Portobello Mushroom Burger.

2 thick slices “Cleveland” bologna
2 thick slices Texas toast
1/2 cup mixed greens
4 thick tomato slices
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons softened butter

In a medium size skillet on medium heat, brown each slice of Cleveland bologna until it is golden and crisp around the edges.

Butter each slice of toast on one side and brown in the skillet on low heat until golden and crisp.

Place one slice butter side down on a plate and cover with 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise.

Add both slices of Cleveland Bologna, the mixed greens and the tomato slices. Put mayonnaise on the non-buttered side of the other slice of toast and place mayonnaise-side-down on top of the sandwich.

Yield: 1 serving
